Torvmosen is a public commission at Stangaland School, Karmøy. It consists of six bronze sculptures that are based on the life cycle of the bog moss, Sphagnum. The sculptures are placed in the school area like a botanical illustration showing a spore, the first cells growing from the spore and the development of the plant into a full grown bog moss. The fully grown bog moss has capsules that blow out clouds of spores.
