The two installations Thin Space and Innocence, Happiness and Love were made at Surprise Laboratory International 2024, given the theme Relations.

The title Thin space refers to a space character used to create a more narrow space than usual between two words. Innocence, Happiness and Love refers to words Agnes Martin used when talking about her picture The tree.

Surprise Laboratory International is an association founded with the aim of creating an arena for both exchanging ideas about and developing contemporary sculptural woodwork. Participants of the workshop was artists from Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Norway: Chrisse Kuisma Karlsson, Per B. Sunberg, Oscar Guermouche, Ebba Bohlin, Arijana Kajfes, Jouzas Laivys, Juha Menna, Nora tapper, Terhi Kaakinen and Øystein Pålssønn Lønvik.
